Join the NMAAHC in summer 2020 for a new digital experience, “Reading Through the Galleries,” the NMAAHC Summer Reading Challenge! The book selections are curated to provide enjoyment and enrichment about African American history and culture for various age groups. The “Reading Through the Galleries” runs from June through August.
Each month between June and August, NMAAHC educators will provide a book list based on one of the permanent galleries: History (June), Community (July), and Culture (August). The lists will feature books suitable for various grades as well as educators.
This summer, Girl Scouts is bringing camp adventures to all girls — for every age, for every interest, and in every location! Discover themed camps; live virtual events; and plenty of activities to complete away from the screen, independently, or with a caregiver.

Join Romper and The Help Group for virtual summer camps starting on June 15th! Created for neurodiverse 6- to 21-year-olds with autism spectrum disorder and other special needs, these camps provide a safe and enriching atmosphere to engage, experience, and explore. Campers will participate in a wide range of fun activities such as social skills, fun and fitness, engaging games, science experiments, arts and crafts, and so much more! Siblings are welcome.

Sprouts Cooking School is a dedicated kids-only cooking school, featuring children's cooking classes for ages 3–13. They are passionate about nurturing adventurous palates, building a strong foundation for a lifelong love of cooking and encouraging all families to cook together.
Drag Queen Story Hour is a storytelling program designed for kids ages 3–8. A drag queen will read picture books, sing songs, and introduce children to the concept of drag as a form of dress-up and self-expression. Through storytelling and creativity, DQSH teaches children about gender diversity and all forms of difference to build empathy and give kids the confidence to express themselves however they feel comfortable.
